“Hm.” Evie’s eyes felt tired late Friday night. Her finger scrolled the mouse wheel down to the bottom of the webpage. She tilted her head to the side and shrugged.

“You know, it’s not a bad way to make money.” She considered; it was a good deal. The local university was offering 5k a month if you let the graduating Neurological Surgeons practice on you. It seemed like very minimal risk for what they advertised as “routine” brain surgery procedures. To Evie, all she had to do was burn one weekend to get her monthly income. She was already super busy with Grad-School. This would free up so much more time for her to focus on studies.

“They said I can just walk in tomorrow. The only plans I have set are on Sunday anyways…” She thought, it was already decided in her mind. This was too perfect of an opportunity to pass up. She closed her laptop, and gently placed it on the nightstand next to her. “This is exactly what I needed. I can quit working at Starbucks tomorrow.” She thought, the daily weight on her chest already felt lighter. She relaxed her back into the bed, drawing up the blankets right after. “I wonder what kind of procedures they’ll do. Probably just cleanings or something of that nature. I don’t see it being.. much more than…. That.” Her thoughts faded, as she fell asleep.

“I need to get to school!” Evie screamed, her eyelids flew open as the alarming thought raced through her mind. She instinctually sat up in her bed. She swung her legs across the bed, then stood up. She started folding the blanket into a triangle. “There.” She said, feeling satisfied with how neat the corners were, she smiled and looked toward her body mirror.

“Wait, where did these stitches come from?” She wondered, running a finger over the stitched scar across her forehead. “I thought that was supposed to be….um….” She thought, taking a second for the word to get to her, “..Today!” She grabbed her phone off the nightstand, the lock screen came up. “Sunday” Read the date.

“Wait… did I… Skip a day? I was supposed to go in…. is this… amnesia?” She wondered, subconsciously she started moving her arms up and down. She couldn’t surface a single moment from yesterday. When she tried retracing her steps further, she found even the day before that didn’t register. Nothing felt like it existed before middle school.

“That’s what I’m doing today. I was getting ready for school! I gotta find my homework?” The thought instantly took over all her conscious thought. “Mom tell me I should be a better rememberer and put it on my desk.” She reasoned, but she couldn’t find her desk anywhere. It seemed like a boring adult’s room. She spun around in a circle three times, then walked out into the hallway.

“I’m sure it somewhere, I find it.” She thought, everything felt better. Especially the way it felt when she skipped instead of walking. The feeling of weightlessness as she apexed her jumps was like ecstasy. It was easy to let herself get lost in the motion. She stopped, sucked up some of the drool she felt on her lips, then looked into another room. This one looked just as boring as the last. She took two steps into the room and stopped.

“Uh-oh.” She said, looking down automatically at her legs. She placed her left palm on her cheek in surprise. A breath of warm pee leaked down her legs. “I’m peeing myself.” She said, it certainly felt out of the ordinary to have an accident, but still not a cause for alarm. Once a year people pee themselves, sometimes more than others. She put a hand into her pants. It wasn’t a conscious decision. She started playing with herself. Her spine shivered from the feeling of her wet pants. It was fun to have accidents. They made you feel warm and cozy between your legs.

“I… I had an accident.” Slipped between her lips, it brought her pleasure to the next level. “I.. I pottied in my pants, I not suppose…. To…..”

She faded out toward the climax

“I didn’t have an accident!” Evie yelled, her eyes opening suddenly. She sat straight up in her bed. Beads of sweat rolled off her forehead. The dream from moments ago melted into the reality of early morning.

“Ooo…” She groaned in pain, this time her hand reached for the back of her skull. Her fingers expected to feel long strains of hair. Instead, her fingers trembled over peach fuzz. “Woah..” She said in amazement, she started rubbing her head randomly with both hands. She still had long hair in the front, but the back of head was shaved. She liked the way her buzzed hair felt on her skin. She started giggling from the tickles.

“Ahehe… Head funny. I hope hair grows back.” She thought, her head felt different as she started swaying it side to side. It was easier to move, like there was less weight to it. That struck Evie as odd, even when she was sick her head always felt the same. She slid off the bed, and onto all fours. She tried moving her right arm forward, but instead that caused her to licked her lips. She tried a different approach with her left arm. That one worked. She tried her right leg, but she farted instead. She crawled across the room with just her left arm and leg. It dawn on her at the doorway that she didn’t normally move like this. She let her weight collapse to the side, and fell onto her back.

“Wrong with me? Why acting funny? Weird I am. Brain things not being right. Because is surgeries?” She wondered, her memories weren’t making sense. She tried retracing her steps back the last couple days, but again, there was nothing. The last ‘yesterday’ she could remember was being in her 3rd grade class, learning about multiplication. Those memories were already hazy to begin with. The more Evie thought about her life, the less any of it made sense. How did she get here? Where did any of this come from?

“I know smart tings. I put flour in the bowl then put it in my easy bake for… dum…. It’s white! That what color is, right? I… not making sense. I okay…? Am I? Something not right?” She wondered; her emotions weren’t feeling the same either. She felt intense fear paralyze her body. She could tell with the dwindling amount of intelligence she had that something was going wrong. She could identify it, but her mind couldn’t fathom how to fix it. She was never in control of her own life. Someone normally took care of big things like that for her.

“I… pee. I peeing.” She thought, the fear working it’s way to her bladder. There was no stopping it, the pee just gushed out of her. She felt her fear slip away as her attention became fully engrossed in the accident. She expected her jeans to get wet, but the warmth contained itself in between her legs.

“Huh?” She uttered, pulling her pants down. She was wearing a pull-up. Seeing it caught her off guard, but it quickly didn’t matter to anymore. In fact, she was elated to know she had protection on! It felt so good when it was completely full and mushy. She couldn’t help but press the soggy pull-up into her body.

Her fractured brain overloaded from the pleasure. Evie lost whatever grip she had on her mind. Her tongue flopped out, and she instinctually pushed harder into her padding. She didn’t register drool was dripping out her mouth as she gyrated her fingers. Nor did she realize the incoherent words babbling out of her wet lips.

“I gunun… nugunnn…” She said, she let herself ride the pleasure wave for as long as she could. She didn’t know it’d been hours, she just stopped when her body started to hurt. Pressing into her wet pull-up was all her brain wanted. All of the concerning thoughts from before had evaporated. Her brain wanted one thing, more wet padding around her thighs to play with. Her body zeroed in on what it had to do. Jeans still around her ankles, she army crawled into the kitchen to get water

Evie’s vision focused back into reality after blacking out. She was on her living room floor, wearing a tank top and a thick adult diaper. Everything in sight had a neon yellow glow to it. Evie felt bubbly and light. As if the weight of the world was suddenly gone.

“Baw Nwan nan.” She gurgled, she didn’t tell her mouth to do that. She wasn’t telling her body or mind to do anything for that matter. Everything happened freely. There was no thought process behind it. She didn’t have the physical capacity to think anymore. Every section of section of her brain, except breathing and eating, had been removed.

Her thumb worked itself mindlessly into her mouth. She sucked on it passionately. “Bwah…” She uttered, as a flood of pee burst into her already wet diaper. Her free hand, like clockwork, pressed into the sopping wet mess. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head from the combined pleasure, and her feeble mind ticked with sensations of ecstasy. That’s all she was now. A wet empty-headed baby that humped her diapers.

It was too much to keep her back straight for more than a couple seconds. She fell onto it and became a writhing heap of limp limbs. Everything happened independently of each other. None of her motions made any logical sense. Her left hand popped her thumb in and out of her mouth because it felt good. Especially when she made noises along with it. Her legs folded and unfolded around each other, and her other arm moved like an octopus.

The only consistent thought she had now was yellow. Warm yellow waves from the neon, and her soaked diaper. She couldn’t rationalize any other way to drift along in this world. If she could think, she probably would have concluded that she wanted it this way. She was as simple as she could get. Empty, needing a diaper to contain the unconscious mess forming in the back of her diaper. She was the definition of stress free.

She couldn’t comprehend time. Coupled with every moment feeling like it was the first one ever, time moved infinitely. It seemed like eons had passed when the door opened. When it’d only actually been a couple hours.

“Oh my god!!” Evie’s mother screamed; tears started pouring down her face. The state trooper behind her looked grim.

“We shut the place down as fast as we could. Your daughter was one of the last ones they operated on.” He said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder, while she knelt beside Evie.

Evie didn’t mind. Everything was warm. Yellow. And happy. That’s all the world was to her.

And would be for the rest of her life.
