This comedic song was inspired by a spontaneous trip to a Canadian ice cream store back when I visited JREG and J.J. McCullough! We saw a captivating visage deep within that sweet dated magazine, and after riffing on who she might have been otherwise, J.J. mentioned he could see that as a VS song, and I had to agree.
So I snapped a picture, and here we are!
I've always been fascinated with how these objects (cake magazine) that were once ubiquitous, are slowly turning into relics of a simpler time before our eyes; little time capsules of sorts, still in active use.
Like how the GOLDIE OLDIES went from 50's to 60's to 70's to 80's to 90's to 00's and now even the sights and sounds of 2010 have become a nostalgia aesthetic.
There are kids who don't know who Bob Hope is, much less George Burns!
Truly, time will wash us all away.
But who cares if future generations remember, for we have this moment all to ourselves!
