Progress Report 1/8/2021
Added 2021-01-08 12:20:37 +0000 UTCI'm so tired I could eat a horse. Also it's Friday! Here's what I got done this week:
- Completed more art assets for the underground background.
- Incorporated all of the new art assets thus far into the game.
I've been working all night and the update is so close to being in a releasable state -- maybe just a couple of hours more work. However, I'm completely out of steam and I'm 80% sure I'm about to sleep through my entire Friday, heh. (Hence why I'm writing this so early.)
There were a few unexpected hiccups like getting the backgrounds to jump to the proper place in tandem with excavation's depth boost. That's... actually the only thing I have left to do, aside form a few more art assets that I'm just gonna add after I get this update to you guys. You've all waited long enough, and I'm itching to get it to you guys. :P
On that note, I'm gonna be posting a poll alongside this post that pertains to scheduled game updates. Keep your eyes peeled for that if you're interested.
As soon as I get the Excavation upgrade working with the background elements and make sure the builds are working properly, the update will be out. Until then, I'm gonna sleep and dream of large w̶o̶m̶e̶n̶ tacos. I'll see you guys then! Also, remember to get plenty of sleep.

I spent all day yesterday away from Grape Escape, and I've gotta say that you're absolutely right. I already feel twice as energized about getting back to work on it than I did previously! I've really got to set some kind of schedule for breaks. I've heard a one week break every three months is ideal, so I may give that a go this year. Yes, yes! Let the hot sauce flow through you! >:D
2021-01-10 03:12:21 +0000 UTCI'm very excited to see what all these new art assets are about. I hope you were able to rest up well! Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is just rest and refresh. You know, I can't remember the last I had a taco so now I'm really craving one.
