On the final (Fri)day of Christmas this mouse dude gave to me:

Very dirty housing,
Ancient green ancestor,
Lots of metal tubing,
Squrimy thing that's reading,
Lurker in the darkness,
Hat owned by a Sparrow,
Many shiny hard things,
FIVE RINGS OF HELL!
Wood that's filled with goodies,
Three stupid textures,
Something with sharp teeth,
And a grape stomped in a grape vat!

So far, 13 out of 20 visuals are complete and 3 more have finished line art.
Textures are at a 0 out of 0. Yeah, that's right! Screw you, textures! :D

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I didn't finish the update this week. The good news is that I solved my texture issue: I just won't make any! Simple! :D But seriously, I did some testing with the dirt, and it genuinely looks better without any kind of texture.

The tradeoff with this is that I've added 2 more visuals: one to add a bit more to the background in emptier places so there's not just a background of brown, and the other to set up something in the deepest parts. I've also added a third visual to indicate you're getting close to the end (which has yet to be worked on -- the ending will most likely be what I work on next).

I might be able to get the rest done and implemented by New Year's Day. Fingers crossed that the actual implementation doesn't go horribly wrong! In theory, it should be super simple... but it's usually the simple ones that give the most problems, oddly enough.
