Grape Escape v1.3.3 (Let's Roll!)

- Finished prototyping the upgrade menu (AKA The Upgrade Lab)!
- Turned wine into a currency for buying upgrades.
- Implemented two upgrades: "Thorns" and "Polish". You'll have to play to see what they do, oooor you can use the hints in this post to deduce it. ;D
Here's some important stuff you should know:
- This build is 32-bit rather than 64-bit. All this should do is allow it to run in 32-bit operating systems; it shouldn't affect 64-bit OS's. If it causes issues, let me know and I'll release a 64-bit version, as well.
- When going to the lab, your high score isn't saved. This'll be fixed in the next minor update, but in the meantime just hit Quit or Retry to save your high score.
- Quitting in the middle of a game will not turn the wine you obtained into currency. This will also be fixed in the next minor update. As long as you press any of the buttons after you die, you'll get the currency as intended.
- In the Upgrade Lab, White means available, grey means locked, green means bought and enabled, and red means bought and disabled.
The game is going through a bit of an ugly duckling phase right now, but as everything gets added it'll turn into a beautiful swan!... er, wait... duckling, swan... You get what I mean. Until then, have fun with the new toys! I'mma eat some Taco Bell.

2020-08-13 20:07:18 +0000 UTCHmm, that's odd. In all the time that I've been testing this week, I've never had that bug happen. I never like suggesting this, but have you tried deleting Grape Escape from your computer and re-downloading it? It could be an issue with previous versions interfering with the current version. Alternatively, we can see if it's fixed in the update that'll come out tomorrow.

MAYBE it had something to do with having version 1.3 at the same time, because when I first opened 1.3.3 it already had my high score there. I deleted the old version but still no good. When you make the next one I will probably delete 1.3.3 first before downloading to start fully fresh.

As for the purchasing issue, I can't seem to replicate it. Both in Unity and in the standalone version, everything works as intended. I hate to suggest this, but would resetting your progress fix it?

2020-08-09 18:20:05 +0000 UTCLooking at it, I have 138 wine banked, and I canβt buy either Polish 1 or Thorns 1. I can still see all of the future upgrades, even though they are greyed out. The first two upgrades are white.

2020-08-08 19:03:34 +0000 UTCIts odd, I can accumulate wine and enter the upgrade lab, but when I click on the white options and click "upgrade" nothing happens. My wine doesnt go down and the upgrade remains unpurchaed. This is on the downloaded version.
