His career spanned a good few decades, he took on serious acting as well as working on Kids TV (He was the narrator for 'The Wombles' which I can remember watching when I was very little, also one of the storytellers for Jackanory way back in the day) you might remember him best as Donna's Grandad Wilf in WHO😊Wasn't his 1st time though, he also had a supporting role in one of the theatrical movies during the 60's, remake’s of the 1st 2 Dalek stories
