I do agree that this episode particularly was meant to comment on how it wasn't right. But yes, let's not go down the rabbit hole! I hope you enjoyed your wine :)

2023-08-09 11:28:27 +0000 UTCAh I’d forgotten about that scene! I think Channel 4 have kept it in on its streaming service, but Netflix decided to remove it. It’s a tricky one, the joke was clearly meant to be that Jez realizes it’s not right and tries to call it out as racist, it’s just a bit shocking seeing blackface now (we could go down the rabbit hole of what is/is not acceptable in comedy, but I’m just going to kick back with a glass of wine instead!).
