How interesting! I know many Brits that love Monty Python! It definitely was popular in N. America, though. And yes, I had never heard of Fawlty Towers until moving here!

2023-07-31 20:31:16 +0000 UTCNever seen this sketch! Itβs weird, growing up in the 80's/90βs I felt like John Cleese was much more well known for his work on Fawlty Towers. We were aware of Monty Python but personally Iβd not watched much of it. It feels like it was the other way around in North America, people were familiar with Monty Python but had never seen or even heard of Fawlty Towers? (Monty Python was more than just John Cleese of course).
