Yes I loved Mr. Bean growing up! To be fair I haven't seen it since I was a kid, so I don't remember everything. And I didn't think about global audiences but I guess that would be true as It's just mostly physical comedy.

Mr Bean was really popular in the UK, it’s just not considered one of Rowan Atkinson’s best comedies among most of us (well, among fellow comedy nerds anyway!). Mr Bean also had a massive following in non-English speaking countries due to there being virtually no dialogue. Watching it back, it’s still funny in parts but I don’t think it’s aged that well.
