This was a fairly long art development process.
I've always been interested in trying out a "Day of the Dead" theme, because of their traditional details, the colours, the contrast between shadow and light at night time. But I never managed to finish such a complex scene in time for the date of that festival. Therefore each time I was late and I had to I postpone continuing work on this art until the next year.
This year I managed to complete it in time, before the start of this festival. Although this is probably a case where there was no need to rush because the picture was mostly finished. And it's useful to take long breaks from art in order to do a proper revision of the details later.
So, yeah, I understand that drawing this personal art took much longer than it should have, but I'm glad how it turned out in the end. I think I've done enough to make this scene look complete and provide suitable night-time festival vibes.
