"When a massage invitation is about to turn into something more?"
🌑 🌑 🌑
Honestly, this piece was an experiment for me, and I wouldn't call it easy.
While the sketching, lining and coloring was mostly the same, the stage where I draw shadows and lighting has been a totally different case.
Getting this effect was really hard for me, because this was a totally new method of drawing shadows that I have never used before for my artstyle. But I wanted to learn the process, which explains my confidence in finishing this piece. From this current experience, I can say that it was very time-consuming, and yet I was able to finish it so quickly because I was very enthusiastic for this scene and curious to see how it will looks like in the end.
If this would have been a commission, drawing with such artstyle would usually take a lot of my time, much more than my ordinary cell-shading. Therefore I don't feel ready to use this method of soft shading & lighting for active commissions, and for now I would prefer to keep this style only for personal drawings. Besides, I'm sure that I will not be able to make such drawings for myself very often because again: it's very time consuming. I think, next time I must be very inspired before to draw anything in a similar style again.
Anyway, that was interesting experiment for myself and a good chance to learn something new.
I like the final result of my efforts and what I've put in while working with this personal drawing, and I hope you will like it too.
