Housing at DVU has its perks - and quirks!

The dorm buildings seemed constructed in a manner that accommodated a variety of sizes, ranging from barely a few foot tall, all the way to eighteen feet! Most of the larger students clustered into the larger buildings, being more comfortable in the grander halls & wide corridors, but no student was specifically required to adhere to a specifically-sized dorm.

Which was lucky for you, since a late enrollment left you with few housing options.

The new rooms weren't too much bigger than you were used to, but the wider doorways and high ceilings made you feel just a tad smaller than you expected...and the sheer size & length of your new roommate certainly wasn't helping. The python that slithered through the door only stood a few inches taller than you, but the sheer length of their coils was something to behold. Even as they glided over the threshold, it felt as if their long, scaly tail went on for miles...

You shook your head then, realizing just how mesmerizing those creamy patterns could be as they shimmied over the carpet. Despite the intimidating size of your new roommate, they seemed far more nervous about meeting you than you were meeting them. Theirs was a quiet voice, a stammered bashful apology about their size & having not expected a roommate for the semester, with the hasty promise that they'll keep to themself.

There was a charm to it, an endearingly timid nature that brought about a measure of sympathy. You knew a freshman when you saw one, and judging by their awe & trepidation regarding everything around them spoke of a more sheltered upbringing. You figured the semester would be rather quiet, and that Sage would stay true to their word. You likely wouldn't see the snake around much in the first place, you had nothing to worry about...

After the first week, you began to realize how wrong you were.

The seemingly timid reptile appeared to grow more confident with every passing week, with a few friends drifting in and out of the dorm at all hours. Sage was polite to you, naturally, and did all they could to communicate regarding their guests & engagements, but it still surprised you just how much this snake seemed to get around, socially speaking - you never would admit this, but a part of you was jealous of them.

You were meant to leave for the weekend, taking the bus to a massive convention a city or so away, and Sage would be home alone on their own. They jokingly assured you that they'd "hold down the fort," affirming that they'd "behave" themself while you were away. You'd chuckled at the promise, but that smile quickly inverted when a host of bad management decisions had left the convention in shambles...right as you were boarding the bus for travel.

Dejected, annoyed, more than tired, you managed to make it back to your dorm, hearing a light scuffling sound & gentle music filtering through the large door. A thought tickled the back of your mind, that you hadn't bothered to let your roomie know you'd be back tonight, but you shrugged it off before opening the door.

You really should have knocked.

Inside, massive snake was bare and glistening in the low light, the sound of soft music having been their own humming. Their coils were strewn about the living room, slowly clenching and relaxing over easily half a dozen other furs, each slumped over in a stupor and smiling softly to themselves.

Sage's gaze turned to you, their eyes wide...and green. Not the forest green you were used to, but a brighter, more piercing shade, from which it was seemingly impossible to look away. They were beginning to apologize, but their voice seemed to fade away in the moment...your feet slowly shuffled you closer, your mind slowly beginning to relax as you let yourself be drawn into the bright, beautiful green...

You weren't really sure what was happening. All you knew was that it felt...good, it felt right. As you drew ever closer, Sage's voice fully faded, but you could see what they were asking:

"Are you sure you want this?"

You nodded, a slow, dopey smile spreading across your face. Your reached out and pressed your hands into the soft, yielding flesh of your roommate, the coil slowly wrapping around you & restraining you in soft, cool flab. In your addled state, you couldn't quite register the feeling of other students within the coils, the soft pleasurable squirms beginning to encompass you.

All you knew in that moment was green haze & golden scales...

...and that was enough for you.

You smiled. Maybe this weekend wouldn't be so bad after all~
