Update - December Issues

Hey everyone!

You may have noticed a lack of updates this month from me. There's a few reasons for this, but I'll try to explain them below as best I can

Firstly, this month has been extremely difficult mentally. Christmas plans to see my parents (who live abroad) have been cancelled due to the impact of Omicron. My new job has meant I'm alone in the office most days, though this changed when working from home was recommended. That has helped but creatively the combination of depression, anxiety over constant changes to COVID guidelines here and struggles to organise Christmas have resulted in horrendous burnout. Streaming is my other creative endevour and even that has been awful this month, with only three days out of twenty with a stream compared to every day in September and most of them in October and November, with writing alongside both.

The second is the release of FFXIV: Endwalker. Because I've been creatively burnt out, my brain needed a different focus and, apparently, it found it. I recently finished the expansions story with three friends, and it's honestly been a great experience. But there's definitely a degree to which it was an escape from reality, something that was genuinely controllable, social and understandable in amongst everything else going on.

Today was the first positive experience in a while. My boyfriend, who I've not been able to see for a year due to his own health difficulties and COVID, was able to visit. And it felt amazing. It gave me the boost I needed to address my anxieties about this and, I hope, can act as a refuelling of energy for the rest of the month to get everything published.

There's also the November Audiobook to release as well. I'm going to put up the poll for this month, but I plan on recording that as well.

If I can't manage to get fully up to date, I'll freeze payments for January and use it as an oppertunity to fully catch up and start the year afresh.
