I a million precent agree with you on the Liam interview everyone including internet celebs and influencers got in on this one particular thing he said and made it a meme when to me not only was it not that bad or shocking it wasn't funny he mentioned literal abuse and people made fun of him because they have their own biased opinions or they listen to people who like Zach said "watched it on a surface level" and don't really know him or what they went through, fans didn't want to hear what possibly could be very true. Not only that the things I've seen online bc of it was totally uncalled for making fun of him, his addiction, his abuse just because they didn't like what he said. Liam went pretty much off the radar bc of it and honestly is all this cancel culture that in a few months will mean absolutely nothing. the betrayal I've seen from fans was appalling just bc they wanted to defend the other members when they all said shit about each other in the past.

I agree with you about the Liam thing, at this point I'm pretty sure only 20% of the people that were hating on him actually watched the clips lol. Most of them just wanted to join the drama when really they never cared one way or another about Liam or 1d before. Just goes to show how crazy people woukd go online for a bit of recognition. That's why I'm glad Zach reflected on it, bc while his tweet wasn't awful to begin with, he doesn't strike me as a guy who would just enjoy the drama. And also Jake Paul is just not a good person to begin with, and Louis calling him annoying was too nice tbh I would've said much worse, because that man is crazy weird. There's more to the hate towards these brothers than the podcast. First,, ll the reasons listed by others in this comment section would be enough for both Louis an =d Zach not to like them. And for Louis even more, with the beef between Jake and Zayn years ago (well not really beef because honestly Zayn was just minding his own business) and now the whole Liam thing (not saying Liam himself isn't responsible for what he said but still I understand Louis' reaction)

So the Paul brothers have a long history of antagonizing and profiting off of people and Louis friends-first Zayn, then Gigi, then Zayn again, and then Liam....They also have done a lot of unethical things, and probably illegal. They are calculated and profit off of other people and I totally understand why they feel so strongly about it. We should all turn the other cheek, and most of the time they do, but sometimes you just have to tell people to fuck all the way off. :) I agree w everything else you said throughout this interview. What a fun one! Thanks!

My opinion on the whole Liam situation is that he certainly was not in a good place at the time and that people perhaps took the meaning of Liam’s words in the wrong way. He wasn’t thinking about how his words could be misconstrued, then ended up with a load of hate because of it.

Yeahh exactly, I think also Liam and Louis are friends so he’s naturally gonna hate people that have caused all of this to happen and whoever associated. The same way we would hate someone that did that to one of our best friends

Honestly though, Jake Paul has done a long list of things that have actually hurt people or that have been illegal (he doesn't just annoy people). it would take too long to go through everything, but a few off the top of my head are multiple sexual assault allegations, stealing profits from his influencers that worked under him, undermining the BLM movement by looting during otherwise peaceful protests, and hoarding weapons in his home which had to be seized by the FBI. Also, of course Louis wouldn't like him since he was close with Zayn, and Jake once harassed Zayn outside of his private hotel room, screaming and banging on Zayn's door just to get a reaction for a video and because he was bitter Zayn didn't want to hang out with him. Louis has a right to hate him after all that.
