All the good girls- totally about the environment, climate change and our lack of regard. I believe California has serious bushfire issues as we do here in Australia- in fact I believe our gum trees are now a pest weed there! Having this problem close to home makes you more aware of the issues

Stopping Xanax without appropriate medical intervention can result in seizures and even death. Xanax is used to manage anxiety for the most part, and it does serve as a "downer" in some senses. It has effects similar to a depressant in that, if misused, it can totally cause you to just lay around. Hence her lyric "they just keep doing nothing". So to have friends who abuse Xanax is definitely a scary, and unappealing, thing.
