Bonus Credit 60 - Elves Aren't Monsters
Added 2025-11-27 16:20:05 +0000 UTCHey all, Esper here. Usually I try and think of some goofy framing device for the Bonus Credit show notes, but this month I just wanted to be up front and thank you directly for being a part of Insert Credit. We have a good time making this show and you make it possible, so please enjoy us brainstorming on a comics podcast idea, horror movie talk, and some very earnest moments of appreciation for each other at the end. Stay safe, stay warm, stay fed, and have a good one!
A SMALL DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES PULLED FROM:
(Ep. 412) Pre-show. Ash decides whether or not elves are monsters.
(Ep. 412) Post-show. Ash gets horror movie recommendations, and recommends the streaming service Shudder herself. Comics talk! At the end of recording 52 Pickup, Jaffe is bummed, but new ideas spring forth. There has never been a light skinned Amanda Waller.
(Ep. 415) Pre-show. Frank asks about Esper’s name. It’s snowing in Ohio but it’s summer in Oakland. Jaffe is fully Monday’d up. Someone thought Brandon was 30. Ash and Esper haven’t hung out yet but we’ll get there.
(Ep. 415) Post-show. Demons are invading schools, you hear about this? The Thanksgiving episode is planned. Pluribus is so good, dude. Jaffe has plans for the 420 episode. Ash shares the only time she’s ever gone to the emergency room.
(Ep. 416) Extended break. Jaffe reveals the inspiration for the question about video game makeup and nail lines. Brandon pronounces “Wicked” as if it were the past tense of Wick.
(Ep. 416) Post-show. Everyone says what they’re thankful for this year. Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks for hanging out with us!

2025-12-02 14:55:18 +0000 UTCAwesome little bonus. During the thankfulness segment someone mentioned that the show is better than ever, and I just wanted to chime in that it's really awesome how in a potential moment of crisis last year, you guys instead took the opportunity to reinvigorate the show in a fresh and authentic way. I've been listening since like 2012, and I think you're right that it's it's as good now as it's ever been. Cheers everybody, appreciate ya'll very much.
