Congratulations! You’ve been selected to receive a smattering of bonus materials from episodes 394-397 of Insert Credit Show! To claim your prize, merely open the sound file these show notes are attached to in your compatible audio player of choice, to enjoy Ash’s vampire romantasy drama and its inspiration, inadvertent repetition of a joke concerning Brandon’s recent trip, the beginnings of the “what is an indie game?” debate, and much more.
A SMALL DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES PULLED FROM:
(Ep. 394) Pre-show. Since Esper is hosting, she has to do all the things the talent on the show normally does, like record herself. Myself. I’m writing this, hi, it’s Esper. Brandon doubts that a show with just Frank, himself, and Esper would be fine, and says “Mr. Bones and me” again. Frank is encoding footage of Wally Bear and the No Gang. Special guest merritt k just watched a documentary about the American worry of losing to Japan, which we absolutely did.
(Ep. 395) Pre-show. Ash and Frank contend with audio issues, or connection issues, or both, then neither. Frank, Jaffe and Esper try to guess what Ash wrote fanfiction for, to her delight.
(Ep. 395) Post-show. Brandon takes another swing at making a deodorant joke work. Ash mentions underpants when Brandon discusses his European trip.
(Ep. 397) Pre-show. Boy is Alex Jaffe in the mood to record a podcast about video games as of this recording. This is the third time someone has mentioned underpants in response to Brandon discussing his European trip. Ash’s grandmother is going to get to see all her monsterfucking art. A consensus is reached on “Hydrocity” and the Chemical Plant Zone water. My cat, Detective Franklin, wants to be on the show. Brandon and Frank haven’t played Magic yet.
(Ep. 397) Extended break. Dog talk! Ash and Brandon (and Frank) need to figure out how to handle Fourth of July fireworks. Brandon found the official Chun-Li cosplayer. Ash is going on NPR, which leads to a discussion of what constitutes an indie game, which you’ve already heard on the show so I won’t include it here.
(Ep. 397) Post-show. Frank asks how many credits it will take to win the show, and what that might mean. Esper finally agrees to put Insert Credit Show on NPR. Jaffe doesn’t want to talk about the government, so we’ll end the Bonus Credit here. Thanks for listening!
