Late? Oh, no no no gentle patron. These are finely aged bonus materials, selected and reserved only for our most premium and discerning subscribers. The unwashed, unsubscribed masses couldn’t hope to appreciate Jaffe’s confusion with Eurocentric understandings of American catchphrases like you could. Only you, gentle patron, can appreciate Brandon’s tale of considering-almost-maybe-looking-at getting a Swiitch 2. And because we are so generous, so nourishing, so appreciative of our solid platinum loyalty members (you), please enjoy a complimentary half hour of Ash and Esper talking about Magic the Gathering Final Fantasy crossover cards with your episode.
A SMALL DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES PULLED FROM:
(Ep. 379) Pre-show. Joyce Friffon owes money.
(Ep. 379) Post-show. The recent spate of businesses shedding any appearance of caring about nonwhite nonmale customers is discussed. Brandon wanted people to beat Knuckles Chaotix but it’s fine that they didn’t. Jaffe can only reuse the same song lyric so many times, and advises holding onto your wavs.
(Ep. 383) Extended break. It’s very important that Ash gets to see the new Nintendo, Mom., and expenses a manicure to The Verge’s company card. The Croc remake is riduclous to Frank. Brandon explains why Croc sold so well to begin with.
(Ep. 384) Pre-show. Special guest Mike Drucker has been meeting with our accursed enemies, the Aftermath Hours podcast. Brandon riffs on Mike’s hat, which looks like the Seinfeld logo but says “Silent Hill”
(Ep. 384) Extended break. Esper wonders if they’re gonna build a mouse into the PS6 controller. Jaffe reveals the secret Improv Zones he’s been inflicting on the panel. Dog talk! Brandon has some cartoon dogs. Marmaduke used to make sense but sure doesn’t now.
(Ep. 384) Post-show. Insert Credit has finally provided the ultimate fan experience, after all these years. Brandon has an expensive microphone, expensive camera, and expensive travel mics, but they all suck. Jaffe is having a hard time making DC Action News, but really enjoys it, and I do too.
(Ep. 387) Pre-show. Everybody wants Special Guest Brian David Gilbert to be around on Thursdays. Brandon isn’t really a pre-order kind of person, but had a gift card, but also it just ended up not really working out Switch 2-wise. Jaffe has a time machine but not a space machine. Ash is finishing some on-the-ground intrepid Lois Lane-ass reporting.
(Ep. 387) Extended break. This is the point where if you need to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water, you can do that. Frank said earlier in this episode that he was committing crimes while recording, and that’s called back to obliquely. Jaywalking isn’t illegal in California or New York. Ash was NOT wearing the Zelda shirt, she was wearing a Final Fantasy shirt.
(Ep. 387) Post-show. Frank found a fun eBay listing that he CAN’T outbid me on, i’m begging here. Brandon found something fun in his dad’s garage.
The Ash and Esper Talk About Final Fantasy Magic Cards Corner! Recorded not quite halfway though preview season, Ash and myself simply could not resist sitting down and pouring over the Final Fantasy Magic the Gathering set.
