All I know is from the commissioned research we did for him and the heterodox community’s reporting on the bluesky controversy so that is interesting to know as most of the information I saw was used to discredit blue sky as being full of extremists

(brandon:) First of all, not part of any death threat movement. Second of all, definitely mad about his treatment of trans folks in his article and the transphobic people he associates with. there could certainly be a drive from people with other agendas but that doesn't change him being a transphobe who literally gets help from/associates with kiwifarms. so he's definitely not a cool guy for me to be friends with.

This was fun! Loved hearing about Esper Control and the backstory. That's how I liked to play MTG too. Just kind of control the game and wait for a mistake and slowly win over a long time. The most fun was strategizing how I could make them make a mistake.

Wait, are you guys part of that Jesse Singal death threat movement on bluesky? I’ve been part of his substack for years becuse I contributed research to his “Quick Fix” book. I thought the everyone knew at this point that the reaction to him joining bluesky over his Atlantic trans kids article was extreme, misinformed and used as ammo against bluesky as a better alternative to Twitter

Good bonus! Shame Esper didn't click with Declan Shalvey's art on Mystique - I'm really looking forward to reading it once it's collected.
