Why does Ezra kinda look like Brendon Fraser?…

Daron Taylor

I 100% support you not doing the updates at the end of the videos

Alex

I realize I'm a little late here but as a relatively new patreon subscriber i find it very fun when watching videos from the backlog to hear things like "I'm determined to finish the evermore video before i start on the star wars hotel video", it really adds something intangible for me that makes me love your content that much more on re-watch. If it truly dissatisfies you from a creative standpoint i would have no problem with text updates in the description of these posts (or standalone update posts if that feels better to you) but please don't feel it is common for patrons to watch these videos and ends up feeling like they received a lesser product due to baked-in main channel updates as, for a huge majority of patrons at the least, they are neutral/positive. (i believe)

I really love that you mentioned the fact that the Burnaby Village Museum renovated its restaurant in a modern style - I'm currently working on a publication about historical museums of this sort and the thesis is generally about modernization, cultural identity, and the actual messages that these historical sites are putting out about life in the past. Really fun to see that come up tangentially in one of your videos!

I love these cheesy Christmas media videos :) When watching old rambles, I think it's fun to hear the old snapshots of your work process! But if it bothers you I hope you can do what feels right. I think people would adapt pretty quickly

i dont mind dropping the updates at the end of the video and adding them as a separate text post. or dropping them entirely!

I like the updates at the end of the videos...Ad reads are annoying because I'm getting unsolicitedly sold something whereas these are like how the Disney Channel only had ads for itself. It's nice to hear what's coming up for a channel I'm already enjoying.

As others are saying: I, too, enjoy the project updates, and I think it's actually kinda nice how they add a sense of time and context. But, I think you know better than anyone what works and what doesn't for your videos and creative process, and you should go with whatever you think makes the most sense.

Admittedly, the monthly updates are always fun to look forward to. Especially when it’s a ramble that doesn’t line up with my interests, it gives me a reason to watch all the way through

5 minutes in and fully lost it at the Cris Kringle Kitchen (Don't worry, they spelled it with a "C"). I am deceased.
