Dolls! Dolls! Dolls! Delighted to see something with my favorite Jenny vibe in the lead. Enough of these rambles that require research or invite any disclosure of personal details — I just want Jenny to sound off, in the comfort of her own home, on something she's already thinking about! I love the way that dolls feel very low-stakes but also touch on a lot of my favorite Jenny themes (as in the forces of destiny video): how cultural products reflect our ideas about childhood / children, how that intersects with gender, the tensions of entertainment corporations vs. their fans vs. the drive for profit vs. imagineers (or equivalent) … it's all so good!
