If you were going to do #2 already wouldn't #1 or #3 be roughly the same amount of work? Do a playthrough (live or not), make it available, but do an edited version as the main video.

The exclusivity of 3 makes it enticing, but I know and trust your ability to edit yourself. I played those Nancy Drew games a bit way back when, I'm excited because I remember them being awkward.

Voting for option 1. I concur with the other members who don't want you to have to edit what is likely to be a several-hours-long playthrough. As much as I would like to go with option 3, I am strictly limited to Saturday night (Pacific time) for sitting in on a livestream.

I looked up the play time and it’s about 5h30’. It sounds like it’d be more fun for everyone if you can livestream it and interact with your sister! It’s a lot of raw footage to edit and I don’t want you to suffer like so. I’d appreciate the archived footage because I’m all the way in Japan and likely won’t be able to catch the whole thing.

I feel like the same logic can be used to say the people who want a recorded playthrough are also splitting their votes, and 70% of the voters don't want a live stream. I also think its worth noting that since people can see the results and change their vote, the fact that some people are sticking with option 1 even when they see its losing indicates that they dont mind if option 3 is losing to option 2, because otherwise they could just switch their vote to 3.

I think 1 and 3 are very similar options and its splitting the poll. The edited down highlights is winning, but more people want to see an unedited full playthrough, its just a split on whether they want it live streamed or not.

At first I voted for just the highlights, but then I saw that this game takes 4.5 hours to beat and really wouldn't want Jenny to have to edit that down. I'm voting for the livestream instead. Ultimately, I choose whatever is easiest and takes least time away from Jenny making her main-channel stuff.

I'm voting for the middle option because I'm not a Livestream fan personally, but if it wouldn't be too much trouble for you I do think streaming it for the patrons who like that would be cool and then releasing the edited version is a good idea too :)

Yeah, I'm personally just not really interested in the full version. (Although I'm not a game person in general, so maybe that's just me.) Her recent rambles on The Christmas Prince 3 and the J.K. Rowling movie were edited, and I thought that format worked pretty well.

As mentioned above (and commented on by Jenny), the hybrid version makes everyone happy. I don’t think there’s anyone not willing to wait until the weekend (or a little later) if it means the Nicholson sisters together again. I just wanted to add that if there’s an edited highlights version, it could potentially be posted on the main YouTube channel, where it would be great content, but also a stealth ad for Jenny’s Patreon. I know I wouldn’t feel cheated as a Patreon supporter if everyone else occasionally gets a sense of what we get behind the garden wall!

How long is the game? I don't mind any option, but a livestream might be difficult for everyone to make it to. Anything sounds good really though, as we could always watch the livestream later and that wouldn't be much different than option 1.

I think more people want 1 or 3 but it's splitting the vote! I don't mind how it's presented, but I would definitely prefer to see the full game. I usually watch let's play videos for the story of the game as well as the commentary from the person playing.

100% I'll never watch it if it's 3 hours long and mostly you sitting there reading text on the screen lol. I've never been into livestream formats, so the edited video is definitely my choice

Everyone’s saying options 1 and 3 are splitting votes and I understand the reason, but my 2 cents is that prerecorded let’s plays and live streams have much different vibes, especially if there is a guest on the stream as well. Id love a combination of 1 and 2 but voted for 1 because whatever gives us maximum Jenny content is always best! Also if just curious, how do Patreon only lives streams even work?

Omg yes. I've played almost every HeR Nancy Drew game, and I am so excited for this. I voted for a livestream because I think it would be fun, but realistically you should probably do an edited video. The Nancy Drew games are very similar to the Vampire Diaries game (though much better, from the looks of that one) and involve a fair bit of going around in circles, retrying dialogue trees and clicking various things until you find the interaction that unlocks the next puzzle/plot beat.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here and say that I prefer the edited option (even tho most people voted for it so far) because... 1) I have assignments and exams at university right now and I don't have much time for livestreams and playthroughs- and those things are usually long- and I have a short attention span so yeah. 2) I feel like an edited video might be more useful for people like me who are barely familiar with Nancy Drew. I just think instead of the dead spaces, having like a video that shows what's this game from your POV sounds more entertaining and informal I guess. Plus in my opinion, part of the quality of your videos is your editing with the jumpcuts lol. Anyway, still down for whatever wins

I really think the Livestream would be SO fun. Especially if your sister would be willing to be the designated chat person to cut down on noise. Like if there's a question that she thinks is good or a comment that was funny, she would read it to you but otherwise you don't see the chat and the inevitable backseat gaming or get bogged down with questions and comments. But that would be a lot of pressure on your sister. The edited version may be a lot of extra work or it may be just cutting out time spent going in a circle because the next thing you need to do wasn't obvious. Since I'm not really sure how much work it would be for you and I don't mind sitting through or manually fast forwarding through long silent parts, I don't really think editing is necessary. So it really comes down to how much audience participation would you be willing to put up with? Also I vote definitely stream on a weekend if at all possible.

I think since the point of rambles is that they're meant to be less work for Jennie, an unedited version makes most sense. Whether that's a livestream archive or pre-recorded doesn't matter much to me.

As others have said, if you go for the edited version it would be great if you could upload the uncut version as well. I love long let's plays/streams to have on while I'm doing other things and, depending how it's edited, I find highlights less engaging because I want all the context lol. Ultimately though whatever you find easier to do or think you'd enjoy the most is fine by me!

As far as option 2 is concerned, sometimes people edit down the footage if there is a particular uneventful part of the footage and edit that out. “Highlight” may be a bit subjective. This could mean there may not be a lot of editing depending on what happens regarding your commentary or what happens in game.
