(brandon:) I haven't seen those two! I should've specifically mentioned it was tobe hooper movies after TCM that I'd been watching. had a lot of brushes with eaten alive but never took the plunge because of how mediocre all the other stuff had been. Dude made a lot of movies.

2023-04-09 21:20:13 +0000 UTCDuring the Paradise Killer eligibility debate on the 2022 GOTY episode, Tim threw out the idea of relitigating the 2020 list. I think that would be really fun to listen to, especially since the 2020 list involved listener votes — this is the chance to fix that! Could also be a cool bonus ep if it doesn't seem meaty enough.

2023-02-20 23:13:41 +0000 UTCRe: your discussion about list episodes at the top of this, I’ve been wanting to hear a ‘best American games of all time’ episode since you did the Brit one. I think it would be quite interesting.

2023-02-20 22:39:13 +0000 UTCMarketing teams would have you believe every game sits atop its own distinct genre throne... You're the arbiters, not them!

2023-02-20 20:08:07 +0000 UTCthat's a slippery slope, because back in the 90s, each high profile japanese game would present its own genre. "high density character action game" or "true love RPG" or whatever. so there's basically an infinite amount! could be good with a time limit though
