Patreon exclusive blue milk recipe
Added 2020-02-17 21:25:30 +0000 UTCDisclaimer this is a sin against alcoholic drinks
- heat saucepan of vanilla almond milk on stove
- pretend you're starting a chai latte and add cardamom, ground ginger, cinnamon
- steep blue butterfly tea bag
- realize the tea is not really coloring the mixture blue enough and add 2 drops blue food coloring
- look in cupboards and remember you don't keep any hard liquor around unless you're having a party or something
- search bottom shelf of fridge door and find bottle of cranberry vodka from christmas time, and bottle of malibu from last summer
- decide that flavor-profile-wise the malibu is the lesser of two evils
- decide not to add sugar to the chai because malibu is very sweet
- pour malibu directly into saucepan and hope for the best
- add more ginger and cinnamon to drown out malibu, to taste
- serve hot
You know, it didn't taste BAD

Thanks Jenny, I made a bunch of this and made a Blue Milk stand in front of my house. Sold it for 5 cents and to all the kids in the neighborhood. Will I get in trouble? : / jk

2020-02-18 04:05:06 +0000 UTCNot a cocktail but my blue milk recipe goes: coconut milk A banana Vanilla ice cream but like the coconut milk kind Blue coloring (ideally blue spirulina but food coloring is a little more accessible) Also you can add ice if you want to go full milkshake

2020-02-18 00:58:05 +0000 UTCThis sounds like the kind of thing I made when I was at a house party when I was 16 and couldn't tie my shoelaces the next day

2020-02-18 00:02:03 +0000 UTCI probably would have just mixed the vodka, i assume you have seltzer, and blue food coloring so i respect your commitment to the word milk.

2020-02-17 23:53:44 +0000 UTCThe Blue Milk inspired cocktail I invented a couple years ago, based loosely on a Ramos Fizz. INGREDIENTS 1 shot of gin 1 shot of Blue Curacao 1/2 ounce) half-and-half 1/2 ounce lemon juice 1/2 ounce lime juice 1/2 ounce simple syrup 1 cup ice cubes 2 ounces seltzer PREPARATION In large cocktail shaker, combine gin, curacao lemon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Add ice and shake for 15 seconds more. Strain mixture into 8-ounce glass with selzer I call it a Gin Erso.

2020-02-17 22:51:42 +0000 UTCIf you like milk alternatives I recommend Oat milk - I think it tastes better than Almond milk (and is much better for the environment).

2020-02-17 22:31:59 +0000 UTCI would judge you for just how awful this recipe is but this is also basically what I do every time I make a cocktail.

2020-02-17 21:44:49 +0000 UTCThis was vaguely inspired by the Star Wars Land cookbook's "bantha chai" idea, because i'd always imagined blue milk as like a smoothie. I stole the blue butterfly pea flower tea idea from their cookbook, which uses it in lieu of food coloring in any of their blue recipes. Having steeped it a good long time, I think they're lying and just used food coloring, but didn't think it would look good in a recipe
