This is a great video Jenny, I really enjoyed it. I agree with pix that I felt a bit uncomfortable about potentially slam-dunking on the author, but I think this was handled quite well at the end.
Guess internet viewers need reminding that writing a full novel - no matter how incoherent the story or full of grammatical errors it is - is incredibly difficult and always an accomplishment to be congratulated, never discarded out of hand. By the way - totally not accusing Jenny or you guys of this at all, it's just something I wanted to express.
I'm an author and seeing loads of people making fun of my books would make me really upset - but then I put *lots* more work into my books than the author of Black Moon Rising seemed to, with all the typos and incongruities pointed out in this video. And I think that's the key, because then slam-dunking is a lot less likely.

Ah there is so much I love about this video. Even my niggling concern that we were bullying the author by taking such joy in Jenny's reactions is addressed at the end. I'm a little worried that Jenny will follow in Carrie Fisher's footsteps and become a famous script doctor but won't be able to turn her hilarious hot takes on first drafts into entertaining videos for copyright / NDA reasons.

I'm glad this video ends with some kind words for the author and an encouragement for us to be nice. Jenny's learning to use her powers for good.

I started reading reading the first chapter and then had a sudden desire to wipe my phone and then set it on fire.
Did enjoy the summary of the rest. With all its flaws writing a book is an accomplishment. The author desires a lot of credit.

I do love the book reading videos, but this one is a bit of letdown coming so soon after the Trigger Warning video which was such a masterpiece. I still enjoyed this, just not as much as some of the past books.

Follow up on force bond: It was a major theory in reylo fandom pre-TLJ as far as I can tell, due to clues on the online database. So I hugely doubt it is a coincidence.

It's a snake storm! Also, not to sound nitpicky, but I had no idea some people pronounce "leverage" with a hard e. But the dictionary says both pronunciations are correct. I learned something new.

There's at least one live romance scene when Fighter Pilot is running around and comes to Rey's room, saying that Kylo didn't sleep in his bed last night, he just took off his one set of clothes* and vanished, and she's like, "OMG don't open that door!"

Going forward, I would love to see a wild celebration of snakes anytime they're mentioned in whatever it is your video is about (like someone saying the secret word on Pee-wee's Playhouse)... and is it just me, it was there no actual romance in this story outside of the dream sequences Jenny didn't read?

Oh my goodness, these metaphors are killing me. “You’re like a lens...cap.”
“Someone get these motha fuckin snakes off this motha fuckin star cruiser.”
Title scroll was a nice touch, btw. And I feel I must note that between this book and the last, you’ve been fair in your critiques and analysis, unlike a lot of others who would have torn these stories to shreds and made a joke of them based solely upon their premises or reputations alone, which would be...like, I want to say...fallic? Fallacial? But that can’t be right. You point out the work’s strengths as well as making light of its weaknesses, which I admire, is what I’m saying. And that is why, Ms. Nicholson, I consider your readings to be so much more sophisticated, no matter how bad or good the quality of the writing might be. That shit’s legit classy and classy legit. I dig it.
