Bonus episodes
Added 2020-07-30 22:39:44 +0000 UTCHey folks! We've got bonus episodes coming real soon here. I'm wondering how you all feel about whether they should be patron-only, or eventually unlock, or what.
I'm sort of inclined to keep them patrons-only since they're definitely for the more dedicated listeners (it's all our outside-show banter, basically, life updates, games we've been playing that aren't discussed on the show, etc). But I (brandon) wonder if folks would feel differently about that, so I'm soliciting your thoughts!

2020-08-03 18:29:55 +0000 UTCIt'd be for all patrons, we haven't really wanted to gate too much behind tiers, though I will say that has resulted in us mostly having the lowest tier! That's okay though, we'd rather have a large number of patrons at a smaller level of contribution ultimately.

2020-08-01 02:27:59 +0000 UTCOkay - sounds like what we should do is have them initially patreon-only, and then they can be unlocked a couple months afterward. The extra treat for folks on patreon will be figuring out which episodes which banter came from, ha ha.

I think probably waiting a few months to release them would probably be the smart move -- and it's what lots of other podcasts tend to do. would also be nice to have them available elsewhere in the event that you guys someday decide to stop using patreon and i haven't saved any backups, which has happened with one podcast I used to listen to -- no way to access their patreon only stuff anymore.
