TS4: NO Cooking Tricks and Overreactions MOD

First of all, I wish you all a Happy New Year ^^

Let's hope this will be a good year for The Sims too :)

One of the characteristics of this game is "chaos". But when it comes to cooking, I think it's just too much. And I believe that many other Simmers feel the same.

You just want your Sim to cook some simple salad, and they'll be there throwing all knives and bottles in the air 😅

I personally love cooking games, and prefer a more "cozy" vibe.

So I created this mod that removes all tricks and overreactions of the Sims when they're cooking :)

ABOUT THIS MOD:

* Sims will still act a little clumsy and make mistakes, specially when their cooking abilities are low. But I removed many overreactions.

Example: they won't cut their finger while using the cutting board anymore and "curse"/scream. They also won't let the seasoning bottle fall into their eyes lol

* All things like throwing knives, doing tricks with bottles, mixing bowl, flipping food in the air, these things were all removed.

* The only Sim that will still do tricks is the Chef. It made sense to keep the tricks here, since it'd be a fairly common thing to see in a restaurant. But if anyone wants a mod to remove this one too, please tell me.

OPTIONAL:

The mod is separated into different package files, so if you want to keep or remove any, it's totally up to you :)

For example: Let's just say that the only tricks that bother you are the cutting board tricks. In this case, keep the "channel4sims - no cooking tricks mod - cutting board" package and delete the other ones. This way the only tricks removed from the game are the cutting board ones :)

They're all called "channel4sims - no cooking tricks mod - (something)". The "frying pan" one removes the frying pan tricks, the grill one removes the grill tricks etc. Remove/keep the ones you want :)

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Download, extract it and put it in your Mods folder.

Do not put it more than 1 folder deep, or it may not work.

Example 1: Mods/Replacements/(your file here) - OK 👍

Example 2: Mods/Replacements/Food/(your file here) - Won't work 👎

NOTE: You CAN use this mod and the chef mod at the same time, since one is for the Sims in general and the chef one is just for the chef :)

At first, playing without the tricks seemed boring. But after a while, I was just thankful that my Sim was just cooking and not performing 😅
