Go FVR: Oh man, oh boy, first reactions to the episode are a mix of yikes and yeesh. Aside from sassy Pete White (which I always love) I just found myself being either befuddled or annoyed by the episode. The Captain Sunshine stuff felt like it was happening in a whole 'nother universe, and not just because it took them 3/4 to even get our main cast in the vicinity of the Captain, but also because tonally it felt so different from other Venture Bros stuff. Maybe because a lot of it were jokes that left me wondering 'is the final punchline that he wants to fuck kids', which, and I can't believe I'm saying this, the show has already done before (and so much better) with Hatred. It just felt like a long wait until we finally get what Captain Sunshine's game is, which we actually don't really get- again, what's his deaaaaal with the kidssss- but when Hank himself admitted 'I don't know what your deal is', I just got angry. Speaking of, hasn't the show established Hank as being far smarter than this? Are you telling me the kid who clocked Hatred and 'pedo Lincoln' from a mile away would not stop and just ask Sunshine what the hell was going on? Also, again, what is Captain Sunshine's DEAAAAAL? Man, I've never hated a Venture Bros episode this much, but I guess there's a first time for everything.

So I looked it up, Uncle Slam is a comic character created by Will Eisner. So... yeah, not exactly the random indie creator you guys thought XD.
