Go FVR: see, this is another thing I love about Venture Bros- their ability to throw at least five different plotlines into the air and somehow keep those plates spinning AND have them combine into a single plot by the end with masterful ease. This episode is a great display of that (the weird Monarch-prostitute plot notwithstanding because I didn't really get what was the point of that other than to watch the Monarch torture a woman? I hope she got paid). I loved Dr. Orpheus' triad ('get out of my kitchen') and even the gay jokes here really land (I cackled hard when the Alchemist congratulated Dr. Venture on accepting Hank). It was even an episode that managed to assuage my fears... when I saw Jefferson Twilight, I got slightly worried about what was to come, but I'm gonna be honest: I really want to see more of him! The whole 'blackula' discussion was super cool. A great ep, C+.
