019 - Twenty Years To Midnight

Go FVR! We start off in classic Venture Bros fashion by introducing a hilarious character and setting off a super interesting plot with the invention. "IGNORE ME!" is probably one of my favorite lines of all time. But then they kinda bungled it up on that middle section of the episode, with all the transitions between the three different plots just kinda killed it. Fortunately, things picked back up with the return of Dr. Impossible and the insane resolution to the invention plot (the moment where Brock beats up the two guards and salutes Sally was honestly super awesome). Every character was in top form and the finale was kinda action-packed. But, like, think about how awesome that ending was, how awesome the stuff with Dr. Impossible was, and then think to yourself... 'didn't this episode randomly drop a Johnny Quest parody like seven minutes ago?' What was the whole deal with that? They literally just skipped over it. Anyway, IGNORE ME!

You got it!

Has it ever been clarified what Jonas Jr. meant when he replied to Sally Impossible, “not that you know of” when she asked if they had met before. I’ve always taken it to mean he was somehow aware of Sally from her time with Rusty when he was still inside of Rusty and Rocket was conceived.
