Go FVR: I liked the season finale, and I think I can't say I wholly enjoyed it because... man, this show went places even before the finale. I can think of a couple episodes that would have been the season finale if this show were much more subdued (Trial of the Monarch comes to mind). But my big problem is that not only did the show not go there enough- I didn't really enjoy Jonas Venture Jr and the parts with him were the least interesting, especially when the scared straight stuff started happening- but also it feels like they're maybe getting into shades of Idiot Ball-ing some characters? It felt pretty egregious how long it took for Dr. Venture to figure out this intruder was his twin considering he had a dream about it not five seconds earlier, whilst the Monarch figured out almost immediately that it was Dean and Hank in prison and not some random kids. I don't know, this is just the perspective of a new viewer, but it actually felt like a bit of a step back, especially considering what we've seen in previous episodes. My episode rankings for Season 1: 1. Tag Sale You're It 2. Are You There God? It's Me Dean 3. Ice Station Impossible 4. Past Tense 5. Home Insecurity 6. Eeney, Meeney, Miney... Magic! 7. Mid-Life Chrysalis 8. Ghosts of the Sargasso 9. Trial of the Monarch 10. Careers in Science 11. Return to Spider-Skull Island 12. Dia de Los Dangerous 13. The Incredible Mr. Brisby Favorite character: Pete White Favorite line: "Somebody likes the Monarch!"

Could totally be wrong about that map thing! But Colorado Springs, Colorado is definitely popping into my brain for some reason.

It snows in "Cleansuit" and I'm pretty sure it's been established the compound is in Colorado. I think they showed a map of how far Vendata walked from Don Hell's which was only a short drive from the compound.
