I think you should get rid of the no-spoiler policy. Think about it this way: What percentage of your audience, all of whom are paying you money to talk about the Venture Bros, have no idea what happens in the Venture Bros? I think that is probably under 1% so what purpose does trying to be spoiler-free fulfill? As far as I can, it only limits your discussion without really adding any value to the podcast.

You may have nailed it

I’m trying to determine what I would consider to be the worst Venture Bros. episode and I find the ones I don’t enjoy always have some type of redeeming element. I don’t enjoy “Viva Los Muertos!” (with apologies to Mr. Edlund) but it has one of the show’s best cold opens and Brock’s vision quest so I can’t hate it. “Guess Who’s Coming...” has ghost Lincoln and I just like that dude. “Perchance to Dean” is DARK, like super dark even for VB (lumpy Dean is just so creepy) but you can’t write it off bc it has the amazing prog rock sequence/ Hank on the run sideplot. “Dr. Quymn” is pretty forgettable but it has...um....okay, “Dr. Quymn” is the worst VB episode.

First Viewing Report! Ok, this episode was weird. I gotta say, I liked the way the plots intertwined and influenced each other, it reminded me of Archer's tight plotting. And it was great to see some more of Dr. Venture's bizarre psyche. But the guest characters were weird and I still don't get what the gag with Manstrong is. This episode was also the best example of the whole "the show is more about what if Johnny Quest grew up and had kids" because it directly addressed that idea. However, I still feel the pacing is a bit off kilter and many of the jokes just go on for too long and don't have the same amount of interesting ideas as the plots (like the whole sequence with the brothers mistaking Brock having sex for wrestling and Baldonavich's whole one joke), but I'm definitely intrigued.
