You each look for different things from movies and by talking about it with each other it challenges your own perception and helps understand, or appreciate, aspects of movies and people on a broader scale. I do understand that weird feeling of not always being on the same page as your friends. But on the opposite side if you guys always felt exactly the same about every movie it would be pretty boring in a lot of ways as well.
