Mega64 Record Club Ep 55 - Bob Dylan and the Band - The Basement Tapes (#335)
Added 2024-03-28 13:00:08 +0000 UTCHave you ever been depressed then got in a motorcycle accident tand while your recovering you called up your friends to hang with in a pink house in Woodstock? Me neither, but that is what happened to Bob Dylan, lets listen this album and find out why it's on this list and how this one got made.

2024-03-29 04:23:21 +0000 UTCI feel like kids would like this album - not to say the Basement Tapes are juvenile but thereβs a catchiness to a lot of the songs that younger listeners could get along with. And not just because they keep singing about juice and apples and stuff, but that helps. I can see a kid wheezing βpleeeeeease Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Henry pleaseβ along with the song. Sometimes when Iβm feeling under the weather and canβt sleep I have song lyrics or sound clips looping endlessly in my head - βLO and BEHOLD, LO and BEHOLDβ was my late-night nemesis this week. Not something I would have grabbed for myself to listen to but I had a good enough time listening to it.
