Mega64 Movie Club: Past Lives

We are mellowing out a bit to check out Past Lives, a quiet little movie from a first time director that certainly made a great first impression! Did this blow us away or leave us feeling like we wanted to leave our "Life" in the "Past?" (These descriptions can't all be winners.)
Next movie is NAPOLEON.

It's great that the Oscars nominations are a vehicle to expose people to new stories and new perspectives. I'm glad stories like Past Lives get told and people get to see it when they would have never given this a second thought. (Personally I didn't like Past Lives nearly as much as I thought I would despite having a very similar life situation as the main character, but it is a very unique perspective)

2024-03-06 19:20:41 +0000 UTCIf you could only pick one of the Best Picture nominees you haven’t seen, I would recommend Anatomy of a Fall. Rocco mentions “women got the shaft” this year in the Best Director category, but there is a woman nominated and here it is! Like hankey mentions, it would facilitate a really interesting discussion. One of the year’s best for sure.
