jeebus, your art has improved so much and it just keeps *advancing*, becoming more and more refined and detailed...! Interestingly ... as a measure of one's own position in reference to another arbitrary point in the universe, due to the spatial expansion effects of dark energy you WOULD in fact eventually be 'accelerating' away from ... everything. And everything eventually accelerates away from you. It would not burn; it would be cold, the ultimate cold as entropy saps every last kinetic tremble out of your mass at an atomic level. Lastly, it would take eons. Trillions, and trillions, and trillions of years. However, in the scope and span of an individual macroscopic terrestrial mammal mind's perception, though, you would otherwise neither perceptibly accelerate nor slow down in free space. Momentum would be conserved, at sub-relativistic speeds where newtonian kinematics continue to reign.
