Hey guys. Sad day for us to make a video about why a Star Wars film failed at the box office, but here we are. We should be posting this video later, but we hope you get to check this video out and give your thoughts before the floodgates are open. Thanks guys, you fuel us.

Early Access: 10 Reasons Solo: A Star Wars Story Failed at the Box Office

Hi there, I’m writing from Doha on my way back from Tokyo. I watched SOLO in Vietnam. My final plane to Paris is boarding right now so I don’t quite have the time to watch the whole video before I’m home but I look forward to it !! Thanks ^_^

Interesting analysis. Personally, after the disappointment of TLJ (bad writing is bad writing regardless of which character it's about) and then the stories of reshoots, etc., I went in without any real expectations. Those lacking expectations were met. Solo told a story that didn't matter, didn't have consequences for anything, and ultimately didn't need to be told. What was worse insofar as I was concerned was that, given this was Lawrence Kasdan's passion project and something he's been thinking about for years, the final execution felt rushed and at times clumsy, especially the third act transition when Han faces Enfys Nest. Ultimately, I hope the reception and box office for Solo makes Disney take a moment to consider their previously stated plans for films until the end of time. If the films are well written, well acted, and tell interesting stories, sign me up. However, as of right now, TLJ and Solo have killed my excitement for Episode IX or any of the other innumerable projects Disney is announcing. A little Star Wars every few years is precious, but a production line is not.
