Tragedies
Added 2025-01-10 12:26:06 +0000 UTCHello my wonderfuls,
I feel the world is undergoing horrendous tragedies.
I have family in LA. And things have been very on edge for us all. I hope everyone here is safe and free of harm. I truly hope and pray this to be true. Please be safe β wherever you are and whatever your circumstances. I wish I could hug all of you. π€
Edit: this also accounts for the storms on the East and any other circumstances we are all finding ourselves in. Please just be safe.
Your forever girl.

2025-01-10 20:41:39 +0000 UTCI live here and I'll say this, thankfully very few people have died or even been injured. That's something to be grateful for. But there is a view that only rich people are losing homes and being displaced by these fires and that is not true. My mom's coworker lost her home of 36 years. She isn't a successful actress, she is a nurse. Her husband isn't a film producer or CEO he works in construction. Now, some people think, eh, they have insurance so no worries but... NO THEY DON'T. Fire insurance hasn't been a thing in California for years. All State and State Farm nearly pulled out of California years ago because of dropping that form of coverage from their insurance package and being threatened with court action. To whoever is reading this, sorry for the rant but I've been waking up to red Armageddon skies and pulverizing gusts of wind infused smoke all week and I live in South LA which is literally the opposite end of where the fires are raging the most and yet it's effects are still reaching me. These fires have burnt over 20,000 acres of land. That's 1,500 football fields. Anyway, it feels good to know people are thinking about LA for what it's worth β€οΈ Also, I'm going to link my mom's coworker's gofund me. Don't feel obligated to donate I just can't not link it all things considered. Regardless of where you are, be safe. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-margaret-rebuild-after-eaton-fire?attribution_id=sl:8ed75810-12e1-4dc4-bd23-c0edce23a544&utm_campaign=man_sharesheet_tip&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link

2025-01-10 14:56:50 +0000 UTCPrayers for everyone in LA, or those who know anyone in LA. Also, for anyone caught in this insane weather on the eastern side of the country, stay as warm as possible.
