October 2024 - Changes to Our Patreon Tiers

We have some important news to share with you, and we want to address it with the openness and empathy you deserve.

With a heavy heart starting today, we will be discontinuing the $35 and up tiers as commission reward tiers and transitioning them to support tiers with no additional rewards above $12 from now on. For those who already submitted your YCH forms for September, you will still receive your art commission as well as anyone else who has yet to receive their commissions from months prior.

We understand that this announcement might bring about a range of emotions—surprise, disappointment, or concern—and we want you to know that we hear you. Your support at every tier has been invaluable, and we deeply appreciate each and every one of you who has contributed to our journey.

Some of you have already experienced delays with commissions, and we sincerely apologize for any frustration this has caused. Our lead artist and studio founder has been wrestling with an internal struggle between their physical, mental, and emotional health and the financial demands of the studio. The heavy reliance on commissions to sustain our Patreon has placed an overwhelming burden on them, affecting not just their professional output but also the entirety of their well-being.

This intense workload has hindered their ability to develop their Intellectual Properties (IPs) like Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack, AphroDesia, The Groom of Gallagher Mansion, and DachaBo. We know these projects hold a special place in your hearts, just as they do in ours, and they deserve the passionate attention and creativity that inspired you to join us in the first place.

Before coming to this decision, we released a survey to $35+ tiers informing them of what our plans were and awaited their responses. They were overwhelmingly receptive, supportive, and understanding. It was enough to bring tears to the studio head's eyes and warmed the hearts of many others in the studio.

By making this difficult decision, we're prioritizing the well-being of our founder and the quality of the content we provide to you. We believe this transition will allow us to enhance the content released in all our other tiers, offering more value and deeper engagement with the projects you love. We're also exploring the possibility of creating exclusive or discounted merchandise for our $35+ support tiers in the future, as a way to give back and show our gratitude for your continued support.

We acknowledge that change can be challenging, and you might be wondering how this affects your experience as a patron. Please know that we're committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. Our goal is to enrich your connection with our studio and its creations, ensuring that your support continues to be met with meaningful and rewarding content.
