2025-07-28 03:30:16 +0000 UTCThis is, I think, one of the highlights of this season. I still don't love everything about it, but I am on board with the out of left field concept. (I rationalize it the way I do "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts On Fire.") The role of Nigel was played by Michael Hurst, most famous as Iolaus from Hercules, of course. He ALSO played Charon, except in this episode, where time constraints required someone else (Peter Rowley) to play the part. (In a Michael Hurst mask!) The mention of Hercules as a cheapskate was a reference to Herc repeatedly not bothering to pay Charon the boat fee. ... There are a number of things that don't make sense beyond the modern day interviewer and his camera crew and 20th century buildings and electricity (which aren't SUPPOSED to make sense), but I enjoy it, anyway.
