I really like Ares. For all his flaws, I think he truly gets and respects Gabrielle's role in Xena's life. I think to a certain extent Gabrielle understands the same for him as well. They are connected in their love for Xena and can respect at least that part of eachother.

2025-05-09 20:13:55 +0000 UTCGabrielle has quite the development earlier in the season, but yes, I agreeβ¦ with the baby in the mix,β¦ her development kind of just fizzles out or gets lost in the chaos of everything going on with the Twilight of the Gods narrative. Butβ¦ on the plus sideβ¦ it does show you just how loyal Gabrielle is that sheβs so ride or die for Xena and Eve.

2025-05-09 16:24:39 +0000 UTCI hate the end of this season so much π π. Anyway, as much as I like most of this season there's one part that just feels weird to me. I feel like for most of the show we get to see so much of Gabrielle's POV and growth. We follow her journey. But this season it felt non-existent. She's truly just a sidekick for the most part. I think dealing with the baby and being chased by Gods et al changed a lot of the feeling of the show. They did well for the most part but it left me feeling something was missing. I say this now because Xena just 'died' and I guess you could say that closes one chapter of the story. Looking forward to the next
