As in, the relationship can be romantic or platonic. Sheโll still refer to them as her โfriendโ. You just wonโt know the difference unless they show you. The only reason you know itโs more than a friend in this episode is because you see Xena kiss Marcus. So they show you itโs more. But she still calls him her โfriendโ in reference. This is very important.
