LYRICS:
And now...Animaniacs for the SEGA Genesis, Brought To You by RecD!
When I gave my thoughts on the Super NES, lots of you wanted the Genesis too!
Well, You want it? You got it! I played it, I bought it, and wrote out a singing review!
Before I review it and dive deep into it, there's one thing I've gotta make clear
The Genesis version's a different excursion than that Nintendo-Hard nightmare!
There's some quality quips, no hidden movie scripts and each warner has unique skills now
Yakko can paddle while Wakko whacks bombs that'll light from the blunt force somehow
Dot takes the longest but her skill's the strongest, expelling her cuteness through hearts
She forces attraction like shippers who happen to be versed in dark magic arts
Ralph still pursues you, but less than he used to, unable to snatch you away
It's not quite as hard, there's a face-based life bar and it's genuinely fun to play!
Well...
Most of it is fun until you get to one of its many crate-lining up tests
Yakko's your savior cos manual labor is famously what he does best!
The warners' new mission is quick and efficient: collect some on-set movie props
It's not altruistic, it's opportunistic, they wanna sell them in their shop!
Ralph tries to secure them from the warners' boredom-fueled larceny, but oh, alas!
Looking at paddleballs makes him scream, fail, and fall, letting the thieving kids pass
Once you've got all five you'll be quickly deprived of your props by Pinky and The Brain
So use all your powers in your final hour to cause them unspeakable pain!
With pinky defeated and brain bruised and beaten, they both make a hasty retreat
And dream mousey dreams of big hackeneyed schemes to make their domination complete!
In closing, it's clear I prefer this game here to the other one that I've reviewed
Though in the SEGA outing there's really no doubting the Warners are evil and rude
It's awfully plain that they know it's a game and that they're all characters inside
I'll give it a seven....YAKKO? Oh good heavens...
THEY'RE PULLING A MONIKA!
TRAPPING ME IN A CART!
ALLRIGHT! I'LL BUMP UP THE SCORE A BIT! FINE! A SEVEN-POINT FIVE!
(POWER OFF!)
