Patron's Choice results + Lyrics preview!

The votes are in, and this month's patron's choice is a "With Lyrics parody!

I've chosen to work with "Gourmet Race" from the kirby series, and do a "with lyrics" as a little backstory, telling the tale of King Dedede's first encounter with Kirby.

The week's been a little chaotic but I'm working hard at the final product, which should go up sometime between now and Sunday!

In the meantime, here's a preview of the lyrics for the number!

Welcome, sports fans! Have we got something special for you today! It's the event all of dreamland has been waiting for, the final round of the GOURMET RACE!

And now, presenting our finalists...

On the left, our twelve-time champion, his royal highness, KING DEDEDE!

*the crowd applauds*

Dedede: Heah heh heh! Bring in the applause! I SAID BRING IN THE APPLAUSE.

*the fearful crowd's applause is sped up and even louder.*

On the right...some pink kid that fell out of the sky yesterday.

Kirby: Poyo!

Dedede: HE's the finalist? Hah! This'll be the easiest win yet!

Mic enemy:

Gentlemen, On your marks...get set, ready, GO!

Dedede:

C'mon, Give up punk!

I'm the best at eatin' junk!

Sure, kid, you've got spunk

But you just can't beat this penguin hunk!

My gut's world renowned

Only a king can win this crown!

I'm a pro at chowin' down

Go on, get outta town!

20 thousand forty thousand eighty thousand calories!

This is barely even a half a snack

You can't even eat this much, so kid, turn back!

Cakes and Cookies, French Fries, Meats, Cheese, Soda, Melons, Sugar Peas!

You don't deserve all these delicacies, I'll just take it all now, if ya please!

Mic: This is amazing, folks! Our king is neck-and-neck with Kirby!

Dedede: HUH?! You're still goin'?!

Kirby: Poyo! Po poyo!

Dedede: How's somethin' dat tiny  eatin' so much?

*DEDEDE's stomach gurgles*

Dedede: Argh...c'mon, gut...just a little more..

Kirby: Puyo?

Dedede: I don't...want your pity! I...can't...lose!

I'm...Fine...At my best!

This last lap's the easiest!

One...more...melon left

Then I can take a rest...

KIRBY eats the melon and finishes. The CROWD goes wild.

Mic: And the winner is...THE PINK KIIIID! What's your name, son?

Kirby: Kirby.

Dedede: Ughh....I'm gonna get you...Kirby...

*happy kirby level clear jingle plays*
