Through Our Eyes

And that's watching/viewing other art. While trying to dissect and investigate how each section would look and feel with the goals I had in mind I often turned to choreographers I had long looked up to. I watched many Pina Bausch pieces on YouTube throughout the first two months, and although nothing is directly tied to her work exposing myself to other choreographers thoughts and ideas helped spur my own. This was particularly helpful for our Windsleepers section and the group focus during Sea Rose. I knew the emotional journey I wanted to tap into but couldn't find the right movement, then while watching "Barbe Bleue" I saw they conveyer belt idea in my head.
