Proxy Units?
Added 2022-06-09 06:06:59 +0000 UTCHow do you feel about proxy units? If you don't know a proxy unit might be when you want to make a themed army but use different models for a unit. For example, let's take Night Goblins. Normal Spider Riders are a Forest Goblin unit, but spiders live in caves too. So take a night goblin and put it on a spider. Now that unit is Night Goblin themed and fits in the army.
But lets take it a step further with the Spider Rider idea. Centipedes living in caves/underground. So have Night Goblins on centipedes (using Spider Rider stats/rules). So now you have a totally unique unit that fits the theme of the army and wont be out of place.
Another idea, lets use a Giant. Giants more than likely wont fit underground with Night Goblins. So you could use the stats of a Giant but make the model a giant mushroom monster/fungoid. Now the giant fits, since Night Goblins and mushrooms are a theme.
So,how do you feel about proxy units?
