HQ Tile Mockup

This is only a mockup (of course there will be textures and such in the final), this is the idea for the dungeon tiles. I'm keeping it in the same style as the game board. But I'm taking an idea from advanced heroquest where rooms have a border (wall) and corridors don't. That makes it easy to know which is which. Again I repeat, this is just a mockup.

It also makes it easy to recreate the game board, but leave off the unused rooms/corridors. That way you can only make what is actually used.

How does every feel about magents? Right now on my tiles, a 2x2 tiles has 3 ports on each side. I thought about changing them to magent holes. Since you're laying down the tiles as players explore, clipping together wouldn't be the best option (unless you're wanting to build the whole board). Or make 2 versions, 1 with lock ports and 1 with magnet holes?

1.25”. You already have to go up to 1”, because a lot of miniatures have 25mm bases, and 25mm is roughly equal to 1”. But you should go up to 1.25” for that very reason, because the trend seems to be even larger bases than 25mm. 28mm, 32mm, etc. So you may want to plan ahead for the possibility that you may want to make models with 28mm or even 32mm bases while still being able to fit them onto a single tile.

I would prefer these to be compatible with your older sets. IE clips. There is a clip on Thingiverse that holds a magnet. Maybe do something like that. (or provide both as suggested.)
