You probably want "... felt no reserve" or "... he had no reservations in doing so." or something similar that shows Thalion no longer cares about not nuking the elven base. "Animosity" is usually pointed at people and so as it is now it reads, "He would have been against nuking it but now he felt no strong feeling of hatred/dislike [towards the elves/the elven base]" which is pretty much the opposite of what you're trying to say.
