Summer Of Slug 2025

Invisible Work

Hey folks! These past several days, I've been engaged in "Invisible Work" - that is, work that is not outwardly visible to folks on the outside looking in. For R.R. Slugger, that mostly pertains to script writing and voice recording.

For the former, I've got everything scripted for my next few videos - hopefully I don't run out of summer too fast! Ideas that percolate during the Summer Of Slug may re-emerge down the road though, so don't be too discouraged if I don't get to everything you wanted to see.

In terms of voice recording, I finally have everything in place to tackle the Fabuland video I promised at the onset of the summer. I think it's going to turn out great, and it will feature more stop motion animation than the rest of the summer combined! (Which, admittedly has not been all that much)

I've also done something I didn't expect to do - I've had a certain "So, You'd Like To Get Into ___" script written for years now, but on a lark, I actually took the time to record it. I've only done four(?) of those types of videos before, and even though they can be a lot of fun to watch, they are a slog to create... hence why it has taken this long for me to even attempt another.

I'm not saying this video is going to happen any time soon, but having a recorded script for it is a major hurdle already crossed. Just one step forward in the world of "Invisible Work"..!
