Question for the future
Added 2025-02-11 23:24:11 +0000 UTCWhat other genres would you be interested in seeing. I almost certainly won't start anything new for at least a year (cause I have enough ongoing stuff right now), but I have ideas for a bunch of different stuff kind of nudging me, that I want to explore. I'd also like to hear something I don't list that you're interested in.
Some I'm currently thinking about are (I have specific ideas about each of these already, but they're very nebulous at the moment):
Military Sci-Fi (Space ships & the like)
LitRPG
Urban Fantasy
Progression Fantasy
Post-Apocalyptic (not zombie)
Any others I should consider?
(For reference, right now we have Time Travel/Alt-History, Musical Coming of Age, Sports Do-Over, Low-Magic War/Political Fantasy, High Magic Classical Fantasy, Action Thriller, Realistic Super-Powers, and Magical School stories going and/or finished)

Would also like to read your take on an alternative timeline military series more along the lines of The Fighting Tomcats by ML Maki or The Naval Odyssey of James Brand by J. Eugene Porter

2025-02-12 21:03:47 +0000 UTCI realy like all genres you wrote, but would like to read your take on litRPG or urban fantasy.

2025-02-12 06:28:52 +0000 UTCNo, not really. Baseball they can go to south america and japan, basketball they can go all over, but football, it's generally you're done if you don't get to the NFL (or college). There are some arena football leagues (most failed, but I think some exist) and none started before 2009 except 1, I think (so too late for Blake to get to go to).

2025-02-12 03:30:31 +0000 UTCMate, I look forward to it. Travis, knock this on the head if it is out of order. Maybe someone here can answer this for me. If say a football player does not progress past high school or college is that the end of his football playing days? Is there a minor/amateur league in which he can play on for a few years? Our district of about 15,000 people has mens teams in all five main winter codes (rugby union, rugby league, field hockey, Australian football and soccer) with multiple grades in most and little to no remuneration. Thank you in advance.

2025-02-12 03:22:06 +0000 UTCFor military sci-fi I was thinking of something else.

2025-02-12 02:47:11 +0000 UTCmy current favorite kick is LitRPG but ultimately, I'll read any genre that is well done. yours always are.

2025-02-12 02:35:44 +0000 UTCThe main twist is that he isn't an adult living in a younger body. So we still get the coming of age bit, since he's still a teenager with growing up to do, mixed with knowing stuff he shouldn't know about the future and having a second chance to fix problems.

2025-02-12 00:25:20 +0000 UTCI have been reading it and bought the pre release. It's kinda do over but seems vaguely so. Maybe that's twist. Am enjoying it

2025-02-12 00:11:34 +0000 UTCI will always have 1 real world coming of age going (at the moment, I'm counting false start as that, even though there is that slight element of the do-over mixed in). Hopefully sports works as a background, although it's not going to be just sports, we're also going to eventually get some business stuff and a little entertainment mixed in eventually.

2025-02-12 00:06:47 +0000 UTCSomething along the lines of Country Roads, not necessarily the music industry, I enjoyed the in-sites into the whole concept of the way it worked. Maybe law, law enforcement, armed forces, entertainment or best of all for me, continue Country Roads. Sci-fi works for me, but fantasy and rpg I can do without. All in all keep doing what you're doing and thank you.

2025-02-12 00:02:28 +0000 UTCSecond Down. The series is False Start. Book 1 just finished today here on patron but it doesn't come out until the 22nd.

2025-02-11 23:56:42 +0000 UTCActually I didn't, you are prolific,which I like, I hadn't picked that one up yet. Which one?

2025-02-11 23:45:20 +0000 UTCAlso, my problem is, I have too many ideas. It's why I have so many concurrent stories. I want to write them all.

2025-02-11 23:44:04 +0000 UTCYou know I have a new take on Do-Over going right now. Book 1 just finished. (or do you mean another take, maybe I misread that)

2025-02-11 23:43:25 +0000 UTCI’d find the future Ky comes from interesting to explore. Would fit the Military Sci-fi genre.

2025-02-11 23:35:39 +0000 UTCI also would appreciate. Post-apocalyptic.

2025-02-11 23:32:16 +0000 UTCIve recently gotten into litrpg (shaddoth who seems done), but anything sci-fi is going to get my attention. If you can figure out a new take on do-over, I always enjoy those. You are the author, do what YOU like. And as a side note I loved country roads

2025-02-11 23:29:54 +0000 UTCI would vote for post-apocalyptic
